Home from the hospital after hip surgery

had my 6 mo check up this morning - everything A-OK and no restrictions except no long distance running!

bring it!  I did buy myself some poc hip shorts

you won't be far behind warp!

I am now driving , totally off the cane , able to balance on either leg with my eyes closed , doing 3 machines 3 times a week plus my daily pt routine . Fri is my last reg formal PT session then i can do my own gym routines. Doing stretch band routines on my leg with the new hip  way ahead of the curve according to my PT

5 weeks yesterday !! Woo hoo

got out on the snow yesterday for some turns on the new hip, holy smokes what a difference! No pain and I could actually pressure the right ski (leg length differential from the AO made for weak left turns)! Only did a handful of runs as not to push it but the soft snow was perfect and even did a few bumps! Just a tad bit of weakness and lack of muscle mass at 7 months,. Warp you may see some spring turns yet assuming this winter is just showing up late to give us hippies a chance to recoup! Hope your doing well

Things here are fine , had a slight setback couple weeks ago when i inadvertantly lifted my leg too gigh too fast trying to get into a new high Sleigh style bed we bought . Saw stars ...ooof. Pulled a groinn tendon , but the hip is fine , looked great on the xrays and so im getting back on track . Doc said thing were looking very good

Best of luck for a great season , i will not be spring skiing ( my choice ) gonna give this puppy a good long rehab , play lotsa folf and then  " get after it next season " We are green and damn near 60 degrees here on the St Lawrence today .....go figure ??
