64 days total
41 @ Mission Ridge... 13 with 6inches or more of fresh snow. Planning for a day up at Chinook Pass during the first week of June and a trip up to the Spider glacier in July. |
Nice nepa! If we are going by days skiing powder I scored big time! Of the 50 more than 50% of those days were skiing in 6+. More than a few were skiing in 24 to 36 and a lot of days were spent touring the back country. I went into my spring semester feeling very content. Leaving the spring semester was something entirely different tho :(.

What's wrong with Camelback? Below your standards? It's all skiing.

So reread my reactionist post and that didn't sound nice so I'll try and re-explain it. There is nothing wrong with skiing at Camelback and the fact that someone like yourself enjoys it is really cool. After 30 years of skiing and countless days of powder skiing at larger resorts and in the back country Camelback doesn't offer anything I'm actually interested in. James's list was filled with world class destinations and unique places far from home, it's hard to imagine skiing at Camelback after visiting places on his his list. Lets be honest here tho, Camelback has virtually nothing to offer for the real experienced expert skier Sno. |

Just made it to 50, with about half in the Mid-Atlantic and the other half two trips out west (mid-season, late season). All the days out west were covered by the Mountain Collective Pass.

I was off a decent amount, as much from real-life distracting me as the poor weather. 24 days total but I'm trying to justify another run up to Killington (probably not gonna happen). Where the weather hurt me was in December. Neither of my home mountains were open in time. I got a bit more variety then normal (some years it's been all mount Peter and plattekill) and I got both my sons to a couple of new places. I actually kept a list in my phone for the first time ever so here it is:
Ski days 2015/16 1 Nov 29 jiminy pk w/ both kids 2 Dec 12 gore solo 3 Jan 1 Bellaeyre w/ Jr 4 Jan 3 mt Peter w/ both boys 5 Jan 8 Plattekill in the morning mt Peter night skiing w/ Jr 6 Jan 9 mt Peter w/ both boys 7 Jan 15 mt Peter night skiing w/ both boys 8 jan 17 mt Peter w/ both kids 9 Jan 18 MLK day Mt Peter w/ Jr 10 Jan 24 mt Peter w/ jr 11 Jan 29 mt Peter w/ Jr 12 jan 31 mrg solo 13 Feb 12 plattekill solo 14 feb 13 mt Peter w/ Jr 15 feb 15 mt Peter w/ both kids 16 feb 20 mt Peter w/ both kids 17 feb 21 windham w/ jr 18 feb 27 belleayre w/ both kids 19 march 12 plattekill w/ both kids 20 march 13 mt. Peter solo 21 march 19 killington w/ Jr 22 march 25 Gore w/ both kids 23 April 3 whiteface solo 24 April 9 Killington solo My older son also got 3 nights at Mountain Creek with his school. Could of been a lot worse. I had some really fun days and managed to ski 2 different mountains on Jan 8, met up with Harvey at Platty and then went night skiing with my son at Mount Peter. Considering the weather and that I never got on a plane or took a full week, I think we did pretty good.

Less than 20
The best days were in Tahoe. If I can convince the wife to go spend a few weeks with the kids and grandkids I'll head west. I have that Rocky Mtn pass so there is no excuse.
