Re: Killington Conditions

Skiray
60 Degrees, very sunny here and may ski the afternoon. Sadly, it's the last day and or possible night at our season rental - which ends today (may be able to squeeze in another day).  It was an odd season - very odd season - where seemingly, this great group made the best of (that is those on the East Coast).

oh man would love to get another Cascade in.  Twice on 4/29 and once on May 1...in the pouring rain.  I thought it was my last day but will be there Friday Morning and Saturday
Then I have to give in unless there is a possibility of June?  That would be 9 months...in maybe the worst ski season in my lifetime (or memory)

Re: Killington Conditions

Here is SS from last Sat.

Looks like it's going to rain again this weekend. Was going to try to make it up Sun, but trying to figure out if 9 hours of driving for one day is something I can swing.... If it's going to be the last day then that's another story.

Do you think they'll be able to stay open with Superstar skiing well next weekend, the 21st and 22nd?

Nice to get at it Suds.  How is it looking for them making next weekend?

Long range forecast looks like a high pressure ridge builds which should bring cool nights and warm days which = Sweet spring corn!!!  And my baby and I have a window to get up there.

Re: Killington Conditions

yesterday's rain hurt and this is the last view for me of Cascade...althouogh it was worth it because I walked over with my daughter, the parts that were still connected yesterday on the upper part were not skiable today.
Superstar will make this weekend with no real walking required...next week if they make it will be tough.  Although they are calling for some measureable snow at elevation Monday night

Anyone skiing tomorrow or this weekend? Superstar still looks about the same on the webcam as it did last weekend. Gonna head over tomorrow morning. I thought my season was done back in April, but work has been a real drag lately so I'm hoping some sliding on snow will improve my mood. If that doesn't work I know they at least have some good beer.

I'll probably be there on Saturday. Last lift serviced of the year and then onto Tuckerman to close it out.

Yeah. I'll be there again. This weekend may be the last one for me. Despite a challenging season, Killington did a great job, IMO.

This morning:

This afternoon:

2 choke points but still continous and very skiable t2b. Tomorrow should be real nice. I heard Sunday is questionable if there is wet weather as predicted.

Re: Killington Conditions

Skiray
I have to agree that Killington really did save our season. If we lived in the area, we would be skiing it ... We moved on to summerish activity here.  Hoping to be sailing soon.

Marcski - where do you live? Are you in or near VT?
