Mad River Glen 1-20-15

Headed up with where's the snow tomorrow.  Will post some pics and let you all know how it was.  

I was there Sunday and I was impressed with their coverage and recovery from the thaw. Another foot or so from this most recent storm should shore up the few remaining coverage issues. Off map trees are a full on green light at this point, enjoy!

As predicted we were plastered with 8-10" of dense snow overnight and we have seen another 2-3" so far today. We enjoyed a really sweet  MLK Powder Day this morning and then, unfortunately, we experienced a Valley-wide power outage at about 1 PM that necessitated us to shut the mountain down for the day!  The upside of this scenario is that Tuesday morning should be every bit as good as today was except with another fresh layer of powder on top.

I just read that report.  It should help leave more freshies since they closed at 1 and radar shows its still snowing there.  ML, you coming?

The wind wasnt too bad forecasted 11 to 13 mph.  Got windy and chilly about halfway up the single but, double was sunny all day and more calm.
