I've never seen a buck with a beard, but I'll transition to a beard/goatee in December.

I friggin' hate growing a mustache though - it's so damn itchy the first few weeks.

And what's the matter Brownski?  You don't like looking like a porn star from the 70's?

Total crap but I enjoyed walking around all nasty-looking for a couple months- kept it all winter one year.

My wife had several conditions for marriage- no facial hair was one.

Re: Movember

JTG4eva!
I just had to shave for a WWI Living History event.  Doughboys were always clean shaven (unless it was a Clark Gable kind of ’stache).  A lot of guys in the Great War Association take that shit seriously.  Well, my certain person and my kids now like me better with the facial hair, although I keep it short and tidy.  I’ve had the facial hair for a couple of years, after doing Movember with a buddy.  I grew it out, then shaved it off in stages after November.  From full beard to a mustache and goatee thing, biker horseshoe thing, to a soul patch, etc.  Well, after shaving it my wife decided she liked my facial hair, so back it came.  Now that I’ve had it for a while I feel like a naked mole rat when I have to shave it clean.

The itching gets better after a couple weeks, and if you shave it off I’ve found the itching doesn’t seem as bad if you grow it in again.  Also, after a few weeks it will go from prickly to soft as it gets longer......and maybe you find your certain person likes it.

Fu Man Chu!

(Biker horseshoe thing as you call it )

I love a good Fu Man Chu on myself with the soul patch even though I look like I should be at a 70's gay bar with a jean jacket and assless leather chaps on.

I was going to call it Fu Manchu for that stage......but for a proper Fu Manchu the sides coming down need to be long and hang below the chin, no?
