Yes. I am seeing wet for tomorrow, Friday. Saturday is now trending cooler than earlier predictions, but I am still seeing 44 at Platty for a high. I'll be there. Sunday is cool again 33 with a chance for flurries.

Forecast for Gore and WF is horrible. Back to Jan and feb.  lots of rain Wednesday then will bebelow freezing for many nights and just at or barely above freezing during the days including sat sun.   Glacier express returns for our surfaces.  Sad.

Yes......unless some hints and forecasts I’m seeing for measureable snow Friday into Saturday (for the ADKs, at least) prove to have some merit.  Otherwise, looks like a shitty spring skiing forecast for the next 10 days.  No major melt downs....but cold, grey, firm skiing interspersed with some rain.

When Scotty talks.....people listen!

You concerned about wind issues?  Forecasts I’m seeing that hint at snow all also consistently indicate strong winds at elevation, with a tight gradient and gusts possibly as high as 75, from Wednesday straight through Saturday afternoon

Not that wind holds would be a terrible thing if it means we can go searching for where the wind deposits the new snow all by our lonesomes!

While at revelstoke couple weeks ago they stated the plan is to built up high to protect against global warming.   WF already has that plan enacted.  Gotta be a glacier up above the mid lodge (current not future)

Re: Spring Weather 2018

Well.....the good news is the rain from this most recent event seems to be less than expected, at least in the High Peaks, and the amount of time the mountains will see in the 40s is also less than expected.  That will limit snow loss.

The bad news is that it’s still a wet warm up followed by a freeze.....and I’m not sure 1 to 2 feet through Saturday is in the cards.  2 to 4 wind blown isn’t going to help all that much, and no warm temps to soften things up.

Someone tell me it won’t be shitty this weekend, please!

See WF and Stowe have a lot in common - 113 mph winds recorded on both yesterday.   Yikes!

Re: Spring Weather 2018

Not much, it seems!  Looks like a crappy weekend in the East.  Looks like Scotty let me down!!  No significant snow in the High Peaks, and winds could gust to 75 at the WF summit tomorrow, with gusts as high as 55 on Saturday.  Cold, windy, firm and miserable.....so much for spring!

Summit County and the I70 resorts look pretty good this weekend (hmmmm).....otherwise it’s a snow level crap shoot out West.

Winds dying down overnight.  We’ll get 2-5 inches of dense snow.  Not gonna be spring skiing that’s for sure.

Sometimes the amazing beautiful chocolate cake aint as great as we’d hope...  so much snow still up in them there mtns though!!
