Right on.

It's rather amazing nobody was hurt.

I'd be keeping some of those logs from that big ole girl ---- have them made into lumber --- could make some sweet fun stuff with that

Seriously! Have lumber made. If it were me I'd have it rough cut, sticker and stack it for a year, then have it planed. Possibilities are endless from there.

This is the problem with the suburbs. I live near Jason and I've had about six big trees taken down over the years because I was afraid of them coming down on my house. Every time I've thought about doing something cool with the wood but there's no place for me to store it. I always hope the tree guys do something other then chop it into firewood but I don't know that they do.

Yea, I thought of that as I was typing.

For you guys it would take some doing to get that done which is too bad. It wouldn't take up much room, you could stack it next to a garage or something like that but it would be an eyesore for a year or so. I think the hard part would be finding somebody to rough cut it for you. Maybe, just maybe, somebody down there has a portable saw and could do it right in the back yard where it lays?

Is it white oak or red oak?
If it’s red, firewood - if it’s white, you got yourself some valuable lumber.
Don't ski the trees, ski the spaces between the trees.
