Oh man, I thought my PTO ski days were coming to an end, but I might have to push my manager and try and take one more off.
Is this shaping up to be a repeat of Spring 18'? |

There's a winter storm watch up now for central VT, which calls for atleast 7 inches Friday into Friday night.
I'm naming the storm "prayers answered." |

You work weekends, or you thinking Friday? What falls early in the storm may be a bit gloppy, with the majority of accumulation probably coming late Friday into Saturday, when the wraparound upslope snows commence. If anyone is planning a storm day Friday, just do your homework, make sure it’s going to be worth it!

you speak the truth.. most of the upslope snow will occur up north ..Sugarbush on north... still more time to iron out the details

I was thinking Friday to take off but thanks for the heads up! I'll wait until the morning to decide.
|
I'll be storm skiing at Whiteface on Friday now...should be interesting. WF's elevation should help
Skiing is not a sport, it is a way of life.
|
Snow-forecast which Tends to over exaggerate at elevation still isn't calling for much at Gore.

Still think the Mt's could get 1-3 Ft ....I think the winners will be MGR on north...
This will be a heavy wind driven snow..

Early on it will def be 8-10:1, but the ratio could shoot up significantly with the northwest flow on the wraparound, no?

I've been seeing some talk about being north and west is best on this one...wouldn't that put Whiteface in prime location vs NoVT etc
Skiing is not a sport, it is a way of life.

Real meteorologists don't name winter storms. Some marketing hack thought up that idea at The Weather Channel. Call it the spring storm of March 22nd & 23rd. |

I always bet on N VT as the winners...The N/NW wind hitting the spin of the Greens..Crazy things happen..
High winds tend to break the snow crystals ..

Five exclamation points!!!!! Is that on your top 100 things to worry about?
I'm not a meteorologist, real or otherwise. I'm a writer From my point of view I will always remember Sandy, Irene, Riley, the Valentines Day Storm. Except for Riley I don't remember the dates of any of those storms.

The Spring Storm of March 22nd and 23 2019. And rename it if some snow falls today.
