How did Magic get stiffed?

Good morning Skiers and Riders! This is our update for Tuesday 1/27, we are planning to open Wednesday 1/28 for a powder day. From the latest report at 5:45 this morning: The storm has brought 3" and is slowing down before starting up again at mid morning. We will not be open today, as we have fallen short of our needed snow numbers! We are just as bummed as you are, so we hope to see our snow shoe tracks next to yours! Be excited and ready to go for a legendary Magic Powder day on Wednesday with near 10" of fresh snow!

Uh, well,,,,, party's back on ? There's 4-5 inches of very light & fluffy at my house that came down since noon-ish. Still falling good.

I don't understand the question.

Killington and Mad are reporting 4 inches. Magic maybe a little bit more, but snow seems to have ended there.

I find it hard to believe that K has had more natural this year that Mad. 104 overall number vs 96 at MRG Summit.

It wasn't a bust in central MA.  I'm not sure what you all are fussing about.

I didn't go out and measure, but I'd say we got 25-30".

Here is OpenSnow's call:

Southern VT (Mount Snow, Stratton, Okemo, etc.): 14-18" with the possibility for up to 2 feet
Central VT (Killington, Pico, Sugarbush, etc.): 8-14"
Northern VT (Jay, Stowe, Smuggs, Burke, etc.): 4-8"
Northern NH (Whiteface, Gore, etc.): 3-6"

Looks legit
So OpenSnow was right about Gore, they reported 3 inches. If, you know, you overlook the fact that they don't know what state it is in. Whiteface reported zero I think.

Good on NoVT with Jay reporting 7"
So/so on Central VT with Killington reporting 5"
Not as good on SoVT with Stratton reporting 7"

It is to cover their ass. Also, with people complaining no matter what path the storm chooses nobody wins.
