woooooh there..that map is a big disservice..

all of the GFS runs are taking a low up the St Lawrence... It looks like the northern resorts will be ok..but the southern ones might have problems..many days away..

Looks like a good one for Wed, 8-16 with another one next Sunday.  Hope for a few inches tonight and no rain.  Woods in play Thursday?

down state ain't looking so bad..yeah mt crick might get rain (bad thing?) ..but the latest runs might have saved the Cats. The models are disagreeing with the exact placement of the low..hopefully by tonight or Monday morning this will all be ironed out..

I am worried this is trending south and the dacks will miss out on best snows, this looks like all snow for cats and maybe down into NNJ

NAM is a garbage model, the EURO is much further south, all snow to NYC with little for the dacks.

Oh yes.  The last thing I need is their season to end the first week of March and limit my ski days to one a week.
Kid you've already got more days than my best season ever:

Still I like the passion.

And... GFS is moving your way. POWDA:

Cry me a River Smuggs boy ...

...or maybe post that huckable pic!

Here's my totally unscientific guess... that storm will track north of that map by 75-100 miles.

It damn well better. Nothing worse than driving through the storm to get to a dusting while the women folk are cursing you for leaving them with a lot of shoveling!

NWS still has 90% of snow for Whiteface and Gore on Weds. Right or wrong that's some confidence in their part 3 days out.

Throw a dart at a board, best way to predict the 100 percent track on theis storms

More then half the time they miss the dry slot that cuts precip Ih half, best prediction. Is a line from wilkbury pa to monticello  to kingston for the rain snow line

Probly  solid 6-10" if you 60 miles north of the line, 3-5 plus sleet in the squeeze zone, 1-3" south of the line

Second storm saterday, looks to be a juicy gulf coast bomb riding the cost, early rain snow somewhweare near west point .. to soon to tell though... could be a 1-2 foot plus, if the storm bombs at the right time, catskills berkshires being ground zero
Black diamonds, the easy way down, less moving hazzards

I agree about the dry slot with a full blown low, but with a stable wave . like we have to day, i highly doubt that will happen..
