I don't see how winds won't be a problem tomorrow, they calling for 35 knots in my neck of the woods.

this is ice report from albany news channel 10
"Cap and I are VERY concerned about the incoming moisture this evening…. in tandem with how the temps are checking in from the reporting stations and the Weather Spotters…. that is why we’re expecting a widespread tenth to a quarter of an inch of ice to accumulate mainly tonight into Friday morning…."

the 1/4 inch is predicted in north creek. wind looks to hold off till afternoon.

We have about a 1/4 inch of ice in Minerva at this point and has now just changed to sleet. Calling for whiteout conditions this afternoon and possible 2-3 inches per hour!

WF 9am update....only Freeway and Mixing Bowl lifts on hold, reporting 2” of new snow overnight.  Looks like they may have been spared the icy mess!

You got to admit, it's pretty unusual for the cold front to pass through with this much moisture left to fall, in NY.

2 points for JTG with the winner Storm Spec.

It’s not a cold front at all, the center of the nor’easter is over NE PA

So which hill/sub region is the big winner here? Whiteface? NVT? Someplace else? I’m really starting to get mad about having Stratton tickets now

Whiteface seems to be the only hill that escaped significant ice, and they  had the most snow from Wed night to this morning.

Jay is still banging ice off the Flyer.

Jay and Stowe will likely get 6 or so inches more than Whiteface today through tomorrow morning.

So all told, pretty even.  Bigger powder day tomorrow at Jay and Stowe, but that may be splitting hairs!

Yea, Eastern Townships, Jay and NoVt, Whiteface, Gore.

Looks like they just removed the Winter Storm Warning for Gore.

It's puking snow up here now. It was pretty icy last night. Tomorrow should be a good day in the BC - likely a shit show at the resorts as the snow starved hoards will converge. I think I'll wait for sloppy seconds and go Monday to Gore. May get a small refresh then.

My uncle's very unofficial noon measurement from our place 2 miles west of Inlet on 4th lake is 12" since this AM, on top of 4" from yesterday. Still nuking. He tried to take the snowmobile out but got stuck in the front yard.  I would normally think he is exaggerating, but my neighbor up there sent a snow stake picture of new snow since this AM and it looks to be legit.
