JTG4eva!
Does seem that the models and forecasts are starting to push this one further north.  Outlooks into early March don't seem to be showing any real warm ups.
We REALLY need a proper roll eyes emoji!!

Thanks for the info Jason, that is helpful.

Here's this. Overblown for sure, but something is coming.  Monday the day to ski?

Bullseye - gonna be a fun couple of days.

Don't ski the trees, ski the spaces between the trees.

NOAA has ratcheted the forecast way back, now just 8-10" and based on what I am seeing we will be lucky to get that up here. We had freezing fog, then a freezing mist but not a lot of snow today.

I'm at 1,300 ft., 7 miles north of the peak at Gore. This afternoon has been either nothing falling at all or precip freezing on your windshield. It just recently switched back to light snow. The scaled-back forecasts look accurate right now, but I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

Oh, not entirely.... We got a good foot here at the southern end of the Tug Hill.

That came in on the high side of the 8 to 12 inch range we were told to expect.

Their original forecast was up to 18"
Did Gore or WF see any accumulation?

Another 5-6 fell since last night here at X18. Anybody want to help clean off my roofs ?

Local news just stated north of Lake George there's a sharp drop off, 1-2 inches.

Not easy to tell the total at Gore, but it's got to be over 10" and still snowing.

From NWS I saw 14-18" early on and lowered to 10-14" later for Gore.

Both WF and Gore are showing 6" last 24 hrs.

Here is WC estimate of totals so far:

I don't know what you expect out of NWS. I think they do a pretty decent job.  They certainly aren't hyping things for profit or pageviews like weather channel as they are not for profit.

The freezing drizzle is perplexing. Would love to get Jason's or anyone's explanation as to why it seems to be happening at Whiteface, less so at Gore and not at all (from what I can tell, yet) in the Catskills.

NWS only has it in today's forecast (vs tonight) for WF.

What up?
