You are absolutely right. I think it is all mental masturbation.

IMO it's a flatlander thing.  Personally, I can't just see on the news that it's going to snow tomorrow and go.

This weekends "snow" has been in and out of the models for several days.  It SEEMED for several days that some snow would fall Saturday night into Sunday, so I tried to work it out with work and family to be off on Monday.

Now it looks like I got that day for 1-3 inches. But what the hell, I'm glad I'm skiing this weekend and odds are decent that I'll have fun.

If I wake up tomorrow and the forecast has gone to a gully washer, I just won't go.  Cancelling is easy, getting away not so much.

I bet most members of this forum would love the flexibility to ski whenever it snows. Good on you boys and girls who can.

It's all a matter of priorities. No one controls our schedules unless we let them.

Mixed blessings Harv... I'm self employed, thus I can go skiing at the drop of a hat (ok, dump of snow..)
However the snow is always whiter over the fence... Lots of time means I'm not making any $.  Lots of $ means I've got no time.  Choose your poison.

As you've probably noticed I have a bad ski habit.

Just sayin'.

Oh, and since I've created a bit of thread drift, to get it back on track, I usually simply look out my window to get the snow report...

Everyone.  I mean EVERYONE would be pumped if this had turned out to be the real deal.  Doesn't matter where you live or how much time you can take off.

NWS still calling for between 2-6 this weekend.  I'll take it and hope for the best next week.  Not like we've been drowning in powder this year - even midweek.

Harv hit me up.  I am solo this weekend and might be able to pull Monday.  Would love to get a few runs in with you.

If we do get some snow this weekend "priorities" have me standing around in the cold watching a race. It is where I want to be anyway. If we get some mid-week pow, I'll go walk my puppy - she's a powder hound.

I like to be wrong approximately 72 hours before the people on "frigen" tv.
Can we get SOME snow?  Please?
