IMO it's a flatlander thing. Personally, I can't just see on the news that it's going to snow tomorrow and go.
This weekends "snow" has been in and out of the models for several days. It SEEMED for several days that some snow would fall Saturday night into Sunday, so I tried to work it out with work and family to be off on Monday.
Now it looks like I got that day for 1-3 inches. But what the hell, I'm glad I'm skiing this weekend and odds are decent that I'll have fun.
If I wake up tomorrow and the forecast has gone to a gully washer, I just won't go. Cancelling is easy, getting away not so much.
I bet most members of this forum would love the flexibility to ski whenever it snows. Good on you boys and girls who can.
