Awesome. I caught the closing credits of a movie call “Ski Patrol” the other day. Never heard of it before. It wasn’t available on-demand but I set the DVR to record the next showing, which I think was last night. Anybody remember the name of the one where Sean Astin was the Killington Patroller and had to fight terrorists?
And this is why I like Alta March - my grand daughter on Punch Bowl.
Oh yeah! I’ve had a few days like that at Alta in March and April.
I’m hoping to do a LCC to Jackson trip with Cody next season. I need to get her some touring gear before we make that trip though. I would love to tour her south of the tram for the Cody > No Name > Four Pines tour and up on Glory, maybe even a twilight tour on the King to really round out her Jackson experience. We would probably stop in SLC for a night and ski the Bird. I have an old buddy on patrol there. The x was trying to convince me to do that this season but things are tight so we are going to Durango and Taos. I’ve never been to Taos and I’m really excited to check it out as well as visiting another old buddy. Durango is always fun, we have a lot of friends there and we really enjoy the town.
Have fun with her. I think I get more of a charge watching my grand daughter ski - she is one heck of a powder hound and watching her blast through the steep & deep makes me smile. She wants to go to many of the places I skied when I was younger and I am simply to afraid or unable to take her to those now. I toured with her over in Grizzly Gulch a few years back but I simple have lost my nerve for that anymore. She has a full AT rig and likes touring.

The one you're thinking of is "Icebreaker"
Ski Patrol starts a young George Lopez. Shoot the hole!
Actually I have cut out areas like that and made a matching plug with a ptex sheet and epoxied it in, then leveled it out with a candle. It’s not perfect but it keeps them “rocking” for another season

I've used metal grip before on small spots right on the edge. You can't drip it in, you need a welder or hot iron, you don't want to overfill the hole as it's a bitch to level, overfill with ptex on top of the metal grip. I was searching for a good video of this and I found this one - it really shows how to work with it. The iron temp is critical as he explains. I have an iron that you can set the temp on so I don't need the regulator he put on his wood burning tool
