Is it weird that I still love the caprices from the 90s? I had a 91. It wasn't the SS or even the police version but that motha flew. It accelerated like the millennium  falcon and was as smooth as a cadillac. Definately on my list

The Amphicar is pretty cool.  I saw something where a guy in Canada bought out all the remaining parts for them once the company went under.....uh, pun intended?

I had a Jeep once.  Loved it - there's nothing comparable, although I have respect for earlier Land Cruisers.

This post is right up my ally! Big gearhead here - was a big 944 guy for a while, now really into the WRX/STi platform. Some of my collection from over the years:

Taking over my parents driveway back in the day (brother and I were in cahoots with my dad, fellow gearhead, enabler, mom outnumbered):

My '86 944 Turbo, still have it, for 14 years now:

1970 Subaru 360, first model imported to US:

04 WRX beater with 225k, bought dirt cheap with blown motor and swapped it. Also '89 Jeep Comanche parked in the street, bought off neighbor original owner 70k on it:

Current project 05 STi 450HP needs a tranny:

Guy here in town still has an Amphicar that floats and everything. Good times watching that thing.

Damn, I surprised that STI needs a tranny ---- I thought those things were pretty beefy and would take a lot to burn up.

Yeh that's supposed to be the case - I haven't dropped it yet though - it may actually be a clutch pack that blew apart from the power.  I'm hoping this is the case and it's not internal.  Bought the car this way - hard to diagnose without taking trans out, just haven't had the time.

I saw one of those in the water once. It sat pretty low and looked very vulnerable to even small waves flooding it. Maybe you just roll the windows  up, hehehe.

JTG4eva!
My uncle had one of those back in the day.  Yeah, sat low in the water, always felt a little uncomfortable.  Got the strangest looks from people when we drove down a ramp and into the water!
We REALLY need a proper roll eyes emoji!!
