Sweet Car Thread.

ml242
Any guys into cars here? Guilty secret here, but if I had ten million bucks I'd probably want a ten car garage. For weird stuff, not just exotics. Maybe an AMC Eagle 4wd, a Mazda Miata, an s4 Wagon, a really old jeep.

What would be in your garage? Any good stuff to show off?

I just want a car lift in my garage. Maybe a 93-95 RX-7, Red and decaled to look like Lightning McQueen, just for the kids. Saw a nice Nomad on a trailer today. Always wanted a Grand National GNX. I love the new Vette.

I guess I wouldn't want anything fancy. I've always wanted an old school two-door full size SUV so a Bronco or GMC Jimmy would be in there. The bigger ticket item would be one of these babies:

10 car garage --- hmmmmm, I could fill that easy

I'll leave exotics out as well

5 Series BMW -- 7 Series are WAY overrated

70 big block vette, 4spd, w/ no ac

My 78 vette back

63 split window vette

70's super bee or super bird w/hemi

Smokey and the Bandit  trans am --- has to be black with a gold eagle on the hood

70's k1500 blazer, no roof, no doors w/ 38" super swampers

70's dodge power wagon or snow commander w/ super swampers

A real H1

New Titan diesel w/ full suspension lift and super swampers

I'd also squeeze in a 83 vette

How about a 10 car old wooden barn with:
1971 Pinto
1974 Nova
1968 Corvair
1978 Mustang II
Lincoln MK IV any year
Citroen - any model any year
AMC Pacer
79 Olds diesel
Yugo - any year
Trabant

and I would add 5 gallons of kerosene and a match...

I spent a winter living up at Alta and a lady friend of mine had a Miata. I loved getting a ride up the canyon on warm spring mornings with the top down and watching her hair blow around in the wind while she was driving. :)

Now that I think about it, if I hit the lotto I'd need a good beach car too. I always like Subaru Brats for some reason. I'd probably get the suspension beefed up a little and a transmission with a good low range installed so I could actually take it on the beach but I would definitely want this paint job

Sportsmobile van.

1950's Porsche 356 convertible. Something like this one.....
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Porsche-356-Vintage-Speedster-Replica-/322253975326?rmvSB=true&catId=6001

But my favorite car would actually be a late 60's to mid 70's Ford pick up truck. The ones with the circular windshields. I love the simplicity and reliability of those old trucks. They are terrible on fuel or in the snow but for around town and going out on Forest Service roads when it's dry I love em.

The brat is you Brownski.

I approve of this thread, and think it should have more pictures. Or maybe a thread for CAMP's Dream Vettes.

Still, I am not worthy of this thread as I only really want one vehicle... the highest mileage ski car that can get through the snow and up our hill.

I think I got one more CRV in me after this one, then I'll move to the Daks and get something smaller.

I freaking love the 70's orange and brown color combos.

My high school girlfriend's dad had one of those bad boys with a roll bar. He'd "race" it sometimes with Porsche Club of America.  We'd sit on the trunk and hold the bar, no seats or seatbelts or nothin. Holy cow, he'd fly down River Road.

His license plate was:

356-FXU

I'm so glad this thread is up. Some sweet additions and stories.

My first girlfriend had this car:

Keep in mind, this was no show car. It was rusted out with holes in the floor. It also, would not start. But that summer I got so good at push-starting cars, I wanted to take it everywhere. Fun days.

My Dad had one of those in a convertible ---- Yellow, with black racing stripe and black top. He got rid of it once it was so rusty he didn't dare open the top for fear it would break in half. LOL
