Right on! |
People actually interacted with people Killer muscle cars and trucks |
Although i commented earlier : Things wre pretty good for me and my family too , and as i said i loved the massive change over in guitar instrumention and amplification and trick boxes etc
The change over to hard rockin, edgy stuff with killer licks n riffs was a welcome changeover from the socially antiseptic drivel of the Beatles and real first generation RnR . Disco sux but hard rock even funk had some kick to it .
The clothes were as i mentioned earlier often a hoot as were the staches, burns and long hair ( saved me a ton of jack on barbers ) hahahah, the Queen did my salon work hahahahah.the only fashion cit i hated were the damned polyester leisure suits ugh and then even worse were those damn platform shoes that you VASELINED to polish them .. Loved me some elephant bells , suede vests , longcollared shirts n BOOTS baby !
ZEP , n Steppenwolf in the late 60s early seventies were rad . Cmon Jimmy Page !!! dammit dude was from another planet! Then when AC DC and GNR ( Angus. N Slash ) came out a bit later things really took off .
Yup fun times ...the politics as PT mentioned were meh ( shit they always are ) hahahah

Don't forget the funky black rimmed glasses and pocket protector dudes = my physics/chemistry teaching father

The 70's were the best time ever!
Disco was unfortunate but there was Blood on the Tracks and a lot more. The clothes are still providing hours of hilarity whenever you look at the pictures. Penicillin cured everything, and no one ever heard of HIV, HPV or herpes. Jimmy carter was my favorite President of my lifetime. And best of all I WAS YOUNG! mm

Those were the 60s, not the 70s, although I was still using a slide rule in the early 70s - a nice beautiful SK circular. My PC was a Harris Slash 4 running a Vulcan OS - about the size of a refrigerator with a whopping 32K of memory.
