Sweet!
When they first hatched one of the ducklings started heading for my deck without anyone noticing. I have 2 labs! They noticed! I'm now thinking that duckling won't do that ever again!

It was a tense few moments but I was able to save the lil fella from certain death. LOL

I wish we caught that fiasco on video ---- it had to be  funny as hell. Thank God a buddy of mine was there because otherwise it wouldn't of ended well.

I put out a bird feeder over the winter and it is in full use now.  It has created a little ecosystem around it.  All sorts of small birds.  A few with Brilliant colors,  one red and one yellow.  Its a process over here.   I fill it up every morning.  Recently a blue jay started stopping by.  I really don't like him he is a big bully, makes a mess and shits on my railings.  He throws the food all over the ground looking for the few nuts that are mixed in.  That in turn brought in morning doves(grey pigeons) a squirrel and chipmunk.  Around dusk the action picks up with the little birds.  I have it in a spot where I can watch tv and keep an eye on it at the same time.  I just put a humming bird feeder to pull them in.  They will find it eventually and then its going to be a super highways of birds coming and going from my back porch.

Saw a American kestrel grab a sparrow today. Was talking to my landscaper and three birds fell out of a tree. One flew off with a sparrow in it's claws and the other took off after them. Happened pretty fast about 15 feet from us. I felt 😪  for a minute.

I took this literally from our living room out the front door last night.
Camp , you being the whitetail expert, does that belly look quite full?  Kinda late in the season?,  doe with two fawns in the backyard in the morning were quite independent.

I'm certainly no expert on whitetail. When I look at that deer I see tenderloin, cube steaks, speedies and hot dogs. That said it certainly is extremely late in the year but not all that uncommon. I think it's just the way she's standing and turned looking at you.
