What makes an Epic Ski Day? We all have our own definition.
But certain things are universal. Whiteface Photos by Evan Spinosa Deep fresh snow, or carveable corn. Great terrain. Good company, and maybe an apres ski celebration. What was your most epic day at Whiteface? Submit an EPIC Whiteface Trip Report from this year, or ANY year. Two prizes will be awarded: • 1st Prize for the most epic TR from this season. • 1st Prize for the most epic TR from any season. EACH prize will consist of TWO Whiteface day tickets good any day until 4/30/11. Deadline for past season's EPIC TR: Midnight on January 31, 2011. Deadline for this season's EPIC TR: Midnight on March 22, 2011. * * * * Here's the fine print: • TRs should be posted in the Trip Reports Forum, with EPIC DAY, Whiteface and the date skied in the title. • TRs must include at least 200 words. TRs for the current season should have at least 5 photos and be exclusive to the HR Forum. • There is no limit on the number of TRs that can submitted by an applicant. • TR reporter must have a forum avatar.

An idea... Start the title of the Post with EPIC DAY ... so we can clearly identify the submission as part of the contest. Thanks. (Face4Me - you can edit the title of your post.)
EPIC DAY: Whiteface, NY: XX/XX/XX ... you can name it whatever you want but put EPIC DAY, WHITEFACE and the date in it.

Very cool photo BDM. It seems you get that kind of thing at Whiteface more than other mountains.
Hey we moved the deadline up for the previous seasons TRs. Just seemed to make sense. Maybe the person who wins the first part can use the tix to try again in part two: Deadline for past season's EPIC TR: Midnight on January 31, 2011. Deadline for this season's EPIC TR: Midnight on February 14, 2011. Also I know we've got a bunch of ORDA passholders here... but think about your friends!

You know that on most 'Most Epic Days' , it's too good to take pictures. These are no lunches, no breaks, no pics days, especially when it involves powder. I have a few old TRs on probably WF Epic Days...no pics on most of them. I'll try to put these up on Ski Mad World shortly and put the links here for your reading pleasure.
There are also some real great Spring days with good company including James and yourself, but you guys have the pics for those.

OK. Executive Decision time.
TRs submitted for the PAST SEASONS, are not required to have photos. I had no idea that people would go back this far. It's very cool and I don't want to stifle the creativity.

Well, you've seen a TR of my first recollection ever, haven't you? You don't know how Mad I am? Beaver Lake: Circa 1968

We have a winner for the Best Whiteface TR from past seasons.
Face4me wins for his TR: EPIC DAY, WHITEFACE, 02-28-2010 We asked each judge (Jamesdeluxe, Jason, Highpeaksdrifter and Powderqueen) to pick a first, second, and third place entry. To minimize the chance for tie, each first place entry received three points, each second place entry received two points, and each third place received one point. (I would vote as a tie-breaker.) All of the stories were well-told and many have real importance that extend beyond the actual skiing itself. We thank everyone for the time taken to post them. REMEMBER: Continue to post WF TRs from this season for a chance at the two remaining tickets! Face4me - CONGRATS! - PM me a snail mail address and we'll mail out your lift tix asap.
