The Warren Miller film (2014)

PeeTex
This post was updated on .
Alpine Sport Shop, Skidmore Outing Club and the Double H Ranch will be showing the new Warren Miller ski fim "No Turning Back" at the Skidmore Gannett Auditorium on November 8th at 7:00 pm.  Tickets are only $12 in advance (available at the Alpine Sport Shop), or $15 at the door and include a lift ticket voucher for Sugarbush

Don't know how much goes to Double H but anything we can do for them the better.
Don't ski the trees, ski the spaces between the trees.

Got this today:

Just some free lift ticket info you might want to share with your readers.

If you're lucky enough to live in Albany, you can get four free lift tickets and two 2-for-1 deals with your $22 ticket to the year's most ambitious ski film.  The Warren Miller East Coast Film Tour swings through New York mid-November, and free tickets will be available at the following shows.

Everyone who attends No Turning Back at the Palace Theatre in Albany (11/7 - 11/8) will receive a free lift ticket to Sugarbush, Windham Mountain, Gore Mountain and Smugglers' Notch, with 2-for-1 deals at Killington and Steamboat and special discounts at Play it Again Sports Latham.

Giveaways at Binghamton's Broome County Forum Theatre (11/19) include free passes to Sugarbush, Windham and Smugglers' Notch, with 2-for-1 deals at Greek Peak, Swain and Steamboat as well as special deals at Berger's Ski and Snowboard Shops.

Those who attend The Auditorium Theatre at Rochester (11/22) will receive a ticket to Gore, Sugarbush and Smugglers' Notch, as well as 2-for-1 deals at Swain Resort, Greek Peak, Killington and Steamboat, and special deals at Snow Ski & Board and The Ski Company.

At The Landmark Theatre in Syracuse (11/21), attendees will receive free passes to Sugarbush, Smugglers' Notch, and Windham, along with 2-for-1 deals at Killington, Steamboat, Swain Resort and Greek Peak, along with special deals at The Ski Company and Snow Ski & Board.

At the Tarrytown Music Hall screening of No Turning Back, giveaways will include free lift tickets to Sugarbush, Gore Mountain and Smugglers' Notch, as well as a 2-for-1 deal at Steamboat and a special deal on helmets and goggles at REI.

Hundreds of dollars worth of skiing for $22. Feel free to pass it on.

For those of you who have gone in year's past, what's the deal with the free lift tix?  Alot of blackout dates, etc?

I'm considering going to the Morristown, NJ showing since I'm a season pass holder but need some free tix for my wife who is not up to passholder status yet.

Of course I want to see the film too.

Thanks
Mike

Are you a Gore passholder?

I think this is how it breaks down for the freebies:

Bush is midweek with restrictions on holidays.
Gore is a free ticket early or late season or a BOGO midseason.
Windham is good early or late with holiday blackouts and fairly restricted.
Smuggs is surprising also. Good a handful of days for FREE but BOGO others. Odd.

From the Triple Cities Ski Club in Binghamton:

Warren Miller Entertainment releases its 65th feature film, No Turning Back, for area skiers and riders at the Forum, 236 Washington St., Binghamton on Thursday, November 20, at 7:30 p.m. WME, a pioneer in  action sports cinematography since 1949, captures the tilts and turns of  athletes like Josh Bibby and Tyler Ceccanti carving down Mount Olympus in Greece or Kaylin Richardson breaking trail in Norway. Attendees will  delight in seeing top athletes like Sierra Quitiquit, Rob Kingwill, Ingrid Backstrom, and more push the boundaries in Niseko, Japan, the Swiss Alps, Montana, France, and other resort areas.

It’s a chance for moviegoers to get stoked for the season and an opportunity to win ski vacations, prizes and gear. All attendees gain access to exclusive resort and retail savings, which include:

-FREE LIFT TICKET TO SUGARBUSH

-FREE LIFT TICKET TO SMUGGLERS’ NOTCH

-FREE LIFT TICKET TO WINDHAM MOUNTAIN

-2-FOR-1 LIFT TICKET TO GREEK PEAK MOUNTAIN RESORT

-2-FOR-1 LIFT TICKET TO SWAIN RESORT

-$25 OFF ANY PURCHASE Of $100 OR MORE AT BERGER’S

-SKI AND RIDE FREE AT STEAMBOAT (when you introduce a first-time skier/rider to the sport.)

Representatives from the Triple Cities Ski Club will have a booth to take membership forms, talk about their 34th Annual Ski Sale on Sunday, November 23, and mention ski trips to places in NY, VT, and an annual Western trip—this year to Winter Park, CO. A $10 annual TCSC membership affords skiers and riders discounts at area resorts.

www.triplecitiesskiclub.com

Tickets to No Turning Back can be purchased at Berger's Ski & Snowboard  Shop, 16 Lewis St., Binghamton for $18 cash or check or $19 credit card.
