You can buy beer at all three ORDA resorts right? I’d call that a bright spot

The last beer I bought at Gore was $7.50. After that we switched to Gigi’s.

Actually, now that I think about it, compared to Yankees Stadium 7.50 is pretty good. How much does Gore get for a bacon-on-a-stick?

Damn, if WF had those glorious slabs o’ fat on a stick I’d never bitch about anything ORDA again!

Don’t compare Gore to Yankee Stadium.

Fair enough. You know what would be cool though? Skiing down the exit ramps at yankee stadium.

We're having an awesome day today at Gore. All lifts we felt like taking had no lines and were running smooth.  Good snow everywhere. No wait at the Tannery. Service is on point.

The caterer at Gore, Centerpoint, seems to do a pretty good job at a fair price, and their staff is friendly and anxious to please.

+1

I think the food prices at other mountains are considerably higher.

Could not agree more.  My kids say the Gore french fries are the best they've ever had, and I love both their chili and their New England clam chowder.  Options for kids with food allergies as well (Silk soy milk, identifying soups as dairy free or gluten free, etc).  My wife said the vegetarian chili was delicious too.

Years ago a friend of mine took the A train to Fort Tryon Park. You could see the GWB in the brackground while he was getting face shots of blower pow.  Sadly, I haven’t been able to find the video in years.

Food at the Saddle Lodge was eh. Chili was very tasty but lukewarm at best.  Onion rings were tasty but less than lukewarm.  Burgers were tasty but......well, you get the idea.  Oh, and only PBR, Yeungling, or Bud Light in cans.  Moral of the story?  It’s worth going to base for food at Gore!  On the plus side, the revamped Saddle Lodge is beautiful and spacious!  Didn’t someone complain that the windows faced the hill/AE2 lift and not out towards the valley?  There are windows, lots of windows, facing both directions.  The valley view side is short one double window where the fireplace chimney goes up, but if the fireplace was there before there isn’t much that could have been done about that....

I believe Alba Adventures put together an urban skiing edit during one of the big storms awhile back, if you want to search it out on YouTube. It’s kinda cool to see people skiing down unplowed streets, parks etc

Gore was running north quad, BR quad and dark side double both Monday and Tuesday! That turned a good two days into a great two days.

Conditions were variable but good through the day. Some ice (early), slush, sticky, great, sometimes all within 100 yards. That's Mother Nature in the NE. But the grooming crew will have their work cut out for them tonight with the freeze.

Saturday was horrific and not Orda’s fault.  Today I was expecting a one and done but it far exceeded my expectations.  The groomers outdid themselves

Only thing that wasn’t worth skiing twice was Wilmington which was skied off and had lots of rocks already coming thru.
