Got to see quite a few very good tele skiers doing bumps at Taos last week.
What was more surprising was a guy on a monoski with tele boots and bindings. They were mounted more or less with a toe near a heel.
Apparently Sipapu has an annual tele fest in January. Sipapu is one of the ski areas owned by James Coleman (AZ Snowbowl, Purgatory, Hesperus, Sipapu, Pajarito).

Teleboard! Some dude used to rip on that thing at Sugarloaf. Fey Bros have them at Demo Days if you want to try one.
OMG! Looked up a few YouTube videos. Seems as if the teleboard has been around for a decade at least. I only notice the guy at Taos lift his heels as he made a turn heading onto the cat track back to the main base.
