History of this pic?

Hi Harvey, This picture was taken in early 1961 during the first operating season ('60-'61) of Moon Valley. Moon Valley became Titus Mountain in 1980, when it was purchased by Paul Augustine, who also operated ski areas in MN. We became Titus Mountain Family Ski Center in 2011, when ownership passed to the Monette family of Malone, NY. Just one lift (Dopplemyer T-Bar), one trail, one lodge & one little parking lot the day this was shot . . . but that parking lot was full & a bright future was awaiting!

Four of us had a great time at Titus the last two days . 42 runs , all over the mtn everything skied well . Friday conditions were to die for , bright sun , perfectly  groomed trails where called for and hero snow ......perfection !!!

Today was decent altho not like Friday had to reel in the speed on trails you can normally run Mach One . seems the groomers stayed in the barn today .....but still a fun time tho ! lots of our Canadian neighbors on the Upper mtn today always enjoy their joie d' vivre . saw a couple rocking some sort of sit on snurfer snowboard contraption . they were hooting. N hollering en francais ......had a great time with them atlunch


Good two days at Titus and one super day at Whiteface this week .skiing with my son from Manhattan ......good week !!!!
