Thanks everyone, this is really big news for me. I was considering other options if I didn't get in this round and I really need to move on from the CNA position. Changing diapers all day for unlivable wages is depressing!

Harv- two years and then I can keep going if I want to or not. Two years will get me into a job. I can't imagine that I would have enough desire to do more school but who knows?

This past week we had some nice storms line up and although still thin the skiing has been pretty good. I got out with The Mayor yesterday for a tour and we scored!

With thin coverage we skied conservatively and milked the runs for pow turns.


The Mayor drops in on our first lap to check stability.


We did two laps on the back side of Rustler Peak.


This is from our skin track back up to the ridge. The peak in the background is Agassiz Peak and is just above the ski area. Once we crested the ridge we continued to the north to ski Allison Clay before doing a long traverse back to the area. We loaded first chair at 9 and we were back in bounds at 3:50. It was an incredible tour and a five star day on the mountain although the crowds were a bit much.

Will this program result in a BSRN or LPN? Congrats in either case. When it comes time to take the boards don’t fret if you don’t pass the first time, just try again until you do - programs like Kaplin can really help.

The first year is LPN and the second year is RN. I'll do the two years and get a job, from there most employers will pay your way through online courses to complete the BSRN. I'm not sure though that after two years I'm going to want to do more school but it's going to be harder to get a job at most hospitals if you don't. So we'll see. I'm getting old and I'm ready to make some $ but the clock is ticking and I don't want to spend all of my 40's stressed over school work, that shit is exhausting.

Ya, Cody wants to get out for the last day. I’m indifferent honestly, I’d rather go ride my new bike or be trail building. She saved my ski season, if it wasn’t for her I probably would have barely skied this winter. Sunday will be day 25 or 26 for the season and we actually had some awesome days with our two short adventures to Durango and Telluride being the highlights.

RA - Sometimes its good to take a break from something you love and I think that cycling offers many of the same sensations that skiing does, especially the off road stuff you do.  

And let me tell you, we can't wait to SKI with you and your family. Its been on our wish LIST for a few years now. Hope next season we can make that happen though know you will be juggling nursing school..
