After going over to Sugarbush to burn some free vouchers this past Thursday (3" of fresh on top of bulletproof moguls) we headed over to LP for a little BC tour Friday morning, which included some pretty descent snowfall (Whiteface reported 5" later that afternoon) followed by a stop at the mountain around noon. Sweet conditions to be found:

Upper Sky

Lower Sky

Mt. Run pod

Saturday featured snow that must have been groomed, then saw all forms of precip, colder than expected temps, and some of the thickest fog I've skied in a long time. We still had fun, but the skiing was tough, especially for the intermediates in our group.
Sunday, full sun in the morning, actually felt like a spring ski day, Great snow that softened up, perfect temps. Couldn't have been any better, and was amazing considering what Saturday was like. Clouds rolled in later in the day

All in all great weekend, had a big group up with me...some first time Whiteface skiers....reported that it was their favorite mountain they have been to yet.
Skiing is not a sport, it is a way of life.
