Whiteface - Lookout Mountain...estimated opening?

after the rain we had Gore is going to be skiing on super thin conditions which I hear has been happening all year there

I like my snow white and not with rocks and dirt showing thru

Gore had very good coverage on all open terrain on Wednesday, and I don't think it will be super thin this weekend.

Even if it was thin it would be better than waiting in lift lines all day at Whiteface.

and it poured on Wednesday night so....

just looked at the longer range forecast.  going to be very warm next weekend with temps in the 40's.  That decision to blow a deeper base is looking better and better.

Coverage was wall to wall on everything that was open at Gore with no thin spots.

I don't think that one r*in event would be enough to get rocks sticking through.

I won't be skiing Gore or Whiteface the weekend of the 21st because that's the Smuggler's Notch trip, so I don't care what happens at either mountain by then.

Since it's a holiday weekend and Coach will likely be teaching almost the entire time, he gets to cut the line, unlike the rest of us, so I could see why he would be indifferent about opening all the lifts to keep lines short.
