WD - I'm nostalgic and envious of your guitar lineup and a few weeks ago started looking at guitars.  Had a Strat, Telecaster (B-Bender) and Takamine jumbo...sold them all as well as my Peavey "Valve King".  That was 10 years ago - sorely regret that decision.

Productive?  Yes!  For the first time in 23 years I didn't have a single customer call me today.  Have been plowing into piles of backlogged work.  I hate to admit this but I'm really getting into a routine of staying up late, rolling out of bed at around 8am, drinking coffee with my wife then going to the (home) office around 9.  Never realized how disruptive my clients were.  On the other hand I really need to get back on the road before I lose my mind!  I do 30K miles and 80+ nights in a hotel on average.

Nice...I have a 1978 Pro Deluxe. Black body, off white pickups and pickguard. Think today's the day it comes back out of the case. I'm pretty much caught up with everything else, so gonna tune 'er up and go at it.

Duypretrens:

Not so nice..I'm finally getting function back in my left hand after months of limited movement and strength following the Xiaflex injections, but things are going well now. Turns out one of the leading authorities treating and lecturing around the world on Duypretens, practices 3 minutes from my home here in NJ. He's also a skier. I told him, "whatever happens I need to be able to hold my left pole this (past...ugh) season. This worked out, though I was just able to hang on. Doc and I discussed doing my right hand after ski season, but obviously on hold due to COVID 19. Glad to hear you're doing ok with this.

Jon  glad you are coming around on that damn "Viking's Disease " as theyg call it

DO crank it up man Guitar Therapy is an awesome tool for restoring "balance ' in these times  . Dont forget to CRANK IT UP , Make some noise !!! You have a great ax there too ,nothin' like the super PHAT sound of an LP . Heavy sucker but it delivers !!

For me today : Crank out some AC/ DC ...ya know LOUD n' Proud ( until she yells at me πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ To use the headset ) uh maybe i'll play her something mellow hahahahah.

One o my things is to serenade the hood in warm weather , got me some great neighbor's who actually seem to enjoy it when i open the windows and turn the amps toward them  .We have a pedestrian only lane behind the back lawn and occasionally i ll see some small groups out there probabaly wonder who in hell that old bastage is up there πŸ˜‰πŸ˜†.

Have fun , you deserve it

I am so essential I actually had to go out to see an essential customer today. Only so much selling I can do when the customer isn’t on top of his own inventory. Traffic was light but not as light as you’d think. There’s a decent amount of commerce going on still.

I remember that pic from no shit as well. Man I wish I would've gone to Paul Smith's. I know Warp had a good relationship with the students and would be fun to interact with.

Thanks Campy .  Students ARE why i went into the business and thoroughly enjoyed my career . The regular role of a president can sometimes be formal and stultifyingly encumbered with administrativia and we often take ourselves way too seriously .

I remember my last year , a very timid young guy  came into The President's Office to snap,my photo for the yearbook, well ya know ,me .   I said HELL NO in my command voice then went full Chevy Chase on him and said your gonna sit in that big ass chair and put your feet up on the desk , pick up,the phone , lean way back and I'm gonna take your pic , it'll be a hoot !

Yep,it " was " in the Book , people, still, bust on Big Ed Stine for being " Acting" prez for a day

Life isnt a dress rehersal , sometimes we take life way too seriously . I always tried to do what  i felt was the right thing to do to help people reach their potential . People always helped me , so it was just paying chit forward

Like i've always said : man i'd have killed to have had you as my aircraft carrier  back in the days we played REAL D , boxed out and made foul, shots πŸ˜‰

I’ve worked from home for 15 years so this is nothing new for me.  My wife is a teacher so having her and my son h9me is like summer time except everyone is inside.  I have my own office and my wife is running e school classes from the kitchen table

Last week things were slow and I had more time to prospect and clean up things I don’t normally get to as people figured out how to work from home.  I did notice that Go to meetings bandwidth sucked last week as they got overloaded but that seems fixed now.

Over the weekend the chores put off all winter got worked on.  I was trying to make myself as busy as possible all weekend then watched a movie as a family Saturday night.  Meals as a family also as during ski race season we almost never get to do that.

This week I’ve been insanely busy.  Well over 90% of my customers qualify as being essential (medical devices and defense) in this time of stay at home orders so thankfully we are insulated from what others are going through.  Everybody is scrambling to assure their supply chains.

So yeah I’m being productive.

Outta the dusty "box" and been playing it. I seem to have more patience with this thing in my old age. First piece I played was intro to Green Grass and High Tides. It's like riding a bike...got back in the groove in no time despite the fact I haven't played in years.

If your use to getting up and going to work in your PJs this is no problem. My work hasn’t changed a bit. The things I do now are mostly for well funded institutions and usually don’t have impact for 3 to 5 years so I have been recession proof since I started this business. Now my customers may so no to next year but this years funding is in place. The startups I work with may have troubles but they are all in long cycle sectors where orders are based on projects. I help them with product development, so far no slowdowns there either. But this could halt investments in them which will delay hiring or crater them if they can’t bootstrap.
