Yes, Slide Brook. Makes you drool looking at it from the lift. Just me and the wife this time, won't get a chance to get in there. But I will get to Castlerock while she skis some groomers.
its a beautiful thing

It’s early but NWS saying a few inches valley floor and up to foot in the northern peaks of nys.   Wind could be an issue and impact lifts but things kinda coming together up north.  Reminder Sunday is a big promotion at WF like half price tix so Saturday is the day.

the track isn't that important..all the action happens on the the backside...

this is very elevation sensitive..also there will be very high winds..

Boo on you guys!  It’s going to (hopefully) be a good to great weekend at WF, I just booked a ticket to SLC for the following weekend, hopeful for a nice spring skiing first weekend of April, and eyeing Tucks the end of April.  Sure, there have been some bumps along the way, but it’s been a better than average snow year for us all.....and there is LOTS of good skiing left to be done.  Cinco de Mayo again?!?

Agree with Jump Turn Guy.

The snow pile on Superstar at Killington is huge. Late March & April will be sweet this year.  I'll be at Stowe this weekend, which seems perfectly positioned for 5-10" on Thursday/Friday, then a beautiful day on Sunday. Next week looks like awesome spring skiing temps if I can sneak a day off in.

Sure, I'll do some biking on the weekdays after work (thanks Daylight savings time!) but this season isn't close to over.

yup. When mid March rolls around I’m ready to shift gears. Spring skiing doesn’t get me fired up like it used to. It’s been a killer season here and I’m feeling very content right now. We are getting another storm this week so maybe I’ll get out for a tour once it pops but other than that I’m ready for trail season.

Hey, even though I consider you to be prematurely ejecting from the ski season, I’ll never begrudge anyone their joy in moving onto spring and summer activities.  We all do at some point.  However, own it, don’t blame it on the need to move on from bad weather/conditions/whatever.  That’s all I’m sayin’.

RA... has 60(?) days and how many are pow?

I love spring skiing and assume I will ski as long as I can, but until I hit 60, I will reserve judgement.

BTW all... spring starts at 5PM and a new weather thread will be started then... so get ready to move it on over.

I will admit it..I don't have the same love for skiing anymore..To me it's becoming work , crowds , cost  etc..That  being said, I would go back to the Alps in second.

Just find mtb more satisfying..and riding downhill   gives me the most adrenaline I have ever felt..
