Woodstream Ski Area

Ethan Snow
This post was updated on .
Hey guys, I Have been developing my own private ski area for the last few years, and I'm having trouble coming up with good names for my trails. I built a ropetow which is 750' long and goes up 200 vertical feet. I call it ''Woodstream Ski Area" named after my road. I'm still developing the trails on the left side, but I haven't named any of my trails yet. I need your help! Please be creative and help me come up with good names, and I May use them. here is my 2015/2016 trail map. I will be sure to post the final copy complete with names when we have decided. Thanks guys, I look foward to your ideas. Also, the area with the big orange bar is a terrain park, so it should be named ''Something' terrain park"

What state, town are you in?  Local historic figures, locations, lakes, ponds, homes, personages, local animals that might merit a trail name?

I'm assuming this is you.  https://www.facebook.com/Woodstreamsab

Woodstream is so cool.  When I first learned of it a few months ago I knew I had to connect with Mr Snow the young GM.

I dig this project bigtime, and would do anything to help.

Ya'll can show support with "like" on FB for starters:

So close to Cooperstown, you would have to consider some baseball names I would think.  "Abner's Folly".  ;)  I would bet there are some Indian names that might merit use.  What was Oneonta's claim to fame back in the day?

I think this is like everyone's dream here - to have their own hill!  Awesome.

There is nothing more awesome than this post, from the MS Paint Trail map, to the whole "own ski hill" thing! I would call the west trail "Tupac", and the east Trail "Biggie". Maybe the trail on the far left should be called "Knuckle Up".

Actually oneonta's claim to fame is IBM. It's also known as "city of the hills"

Working with the IBM linkage you could name a blue run "Big Blue" in tribute to their super computer I guess.

very cool son !!! Consider using local college sports teams nicknames :

Oneonta State .........RED Dragon

Hartwick ..... Swoop Hawk ( their mascot )

delhi Tech ....  Bronco

And you are too young to remeber but a Guy named JIM Konstanty  from ONeonta pitched for the 1950 Phila Whiz Kids in the World Series and was a hero .... So name one. Whiz Kid ...for ur terrain park ........ And Jims Heat. For his fastball or simply Kman's Triumph for the world series

Altho the Phillies dis not win the world series that yr , Konstanty was a force to be recckoned with and WAS the National league MVP .

other possibilities are : MVP , or  JK's  or  Slider ( which was his BEST pitch )
