My season started last day of Nov at Windham Mt. Then I did not get another till Dec 21 at Elk mt because of the weather. Got 34 days of lift served skiing in with 2 days of earned turns at my local state park . Visited ten ski areas ,the smallest our local hill, the biggest and the best being Gore mt. In between we made turns at our favorite classic places Greek , Platte , Bell and Elk. Highlight of the season was two sunshine filled days at Gore last weekend of March.
Gore really left a lasting impression as I am putting my hotrod on the selling blocks and searching for a slice of Heaven near Gore. Don't close the book yet Still might hit Vermont in Late April.
Want to spend special time with your children, teach them to ski or snowboard. The reward will be endless!

Jesus, I have no idea, rough, back of the envelope calculation:
40+ days at Gore 14 days at West 4 days at Jay Peak 1 day at Killington 1 day at MRG 1 day at Sugarbush 2 days High Peaks BC 1 day at Big Tupper 3 days Indian Lake area BC 3 days at WF 1 day at Silverton 1 day at Telluride 1 day at Durango 1 day at Timberline, WV 1 day at Whitegrass, WV So, at least 75? And both days this coming weekend? With a possible trip up Marcy on Monday if the snow sticks around? And 3 days in the Mount Washington area the weekend after that? Yeah, it's been a pretty good season. |
67 days and counting
Majority at Whiteface but also Jay, Stowe, Snowmass, Aspen Highlands. With two days this upcoming weekend and the possibility of the rumored cinco de mayo ski party I could make it to 70 days. I've only hit that mark a few times before that required skiiing in summer. It's been a solid but not great year. Great years IMO require more Slides runs and Upper Cloud my favorite trail being regularly open and I didn't ski it once this year except the very bottom section. The season had its challenges marked by the fire and losing my boots after which I I was skiing poorly for a few months. Once Aleks helped me get back on track I finished strong and had a really good spring. My son did really well in NYSEF not finishing worse then 2nd all year. Skiing Friday's helped him dramatically improve plus with the added a maturity where angulation suddenly happended like a switch was thrown. I'll miss skiing but I am really ready to play some golf.

42 at Gore and 3 at Whiteface...it might be more but this is my official number. My career high is 49 and with the cinco de mayo weekend (wife will be out of town) perhaps this is the year
Summer still sucks though
Proud to call Gore My Home Mountain
Covid stole what would have been my longest season ever! I'll be back |

Not counting the various days / nights I strapped on my schwackers and toured through the local woods, I've got 39:
Gore - 24 Whiteface - 3 West Mtn - 5 Jay Peak - 3 Big Sky - 3 Bridger Bowl - 1 We won't be able to make this weekend at Gore, but if WF can pull off a May date I might be able to hit 40. |
