My thought is that when you are the governor of a state that relies heavily on tourism dollars, much of which is tied into the ski areas, you kind of have to support your team.

I used to think Vermont had better cheddar before I tasted Oscar's.

If you live up in the northern DAKs you end up getting Burlington news.  VT Gov Shumlin is on TV ever single day.  You get really tired of him but then I found out that VT's Gov term is only 2 years so this bozo is running for Gov every day of his life.  He is a blow hard and the leader of the democratic republic of Vt.  NY Cheddar is better!

Can't wait to hear what Noah john has to say about this - its going to be funny I'm sure.

What would you expect him to say? Our skiing sucks. If you want really good skiing you should go to New York or New Hampshire ... they have really good skiing there!

I betcha Cuomo could kick his arse in a cage fight!

I live in NH 40 minutes away from three premier mountains over 2k vert including my favorite and home mountain. Yet I ski mostly in VT by a significant margin. Maybe the Gov wasn't very nice about the way he said it, but it is hard to refute that VT has the best overall skiing when the lifts are turning. Obviously, different strokes for different folks and all and there is no one "best" mountain. But as a state, area for area, VT has a very convincing argument.

I grew up skiing out west.
you can get nit picky about this and that but bottom line is yes certain mountains on average produce more snow. Ok
With that said. Look at diversity of mountains as well.

Gore offers a ton of skiing and if that isn't enough go on up to Whiteface they only did the olympics there  twice so couldn't be good enough NY has great skiing the best anywhere no but heck what you save on travel...........

I think skier cross would be the way to settle this between the Gov's.  Some elements of ski racing with a roller derby slant.
