Yes, Remembering the size of your porch the medium was my guess. I'd try and use some wood chunks (not the chips) mixed in with the lump charcoal. I'll bet you can get a 9 hr burn out of that medium with no problem by doing that.

Nice! Quite the handyman --- glued and screwed

If I ever get done remodeling my house I'd like to have a built in like yours for my egg.

Little more paint and the demo on the porch starts. Should only take another couple hours.

That's cool

I need to build something like that but it's so far down the list.

I have a bathroom to move
bedroom to finish
finish siding my house with a new door and 2 new windows
and a barn to build

that's my spring, summer. fall

That's quite a list bro. I'm just gonna repair/expand/upgrade my fence. Juniors gonna be hating the post-hole-digger and tamper by the end of June

Re: Big Green Egg

It certainly sounds like a lot but my house isn't all that big so nothing is really monumental. I have buddies that will be helping as we share labor whenever one of us needs help. I might break down and pay the Amish to frame and roof the barn. All depends on how much time I have whenever that project gets here, and if it rolls to next year that's fine too.

I've never found a post hole digger or tamper that fit my hands all that great

LMAO!!!

I was sporting the green Zip-R Board look for a while last summer after my remodel. My intention was to re-side the entire house this year all at once, but I couldn't take the look of that green crap any longer so I got to work. I got the 2 hard sides done before deer season got here then left the rest for this year. What's left in painted (brown) T 1 11 siding, so depending on where you are standing you see new rough cut board and batten siding or T 1 11 painted brown. I really like the rough cut lumber look and it fits in with my house and where I live. It also helps to have a guy as a neighbor who cuts the stuff. I literally stop over, tell him what I need, and a few days later he has it ready for me. Cash = no receipt

I’m treating this as a general grilling thread. The fish got all f’d Up when I flipped em but it tasted pretty good.

was the grill screaming hot?

that looks like tilapia..low fat content thus it makes it a little harder to grill

Re: Big Green Egg

It was Tillapia and the grill was a bit hotter then I intended. I was at my parents so I wasn’t familiar with it.

You want it hot and the fish and grill very well lubed.

I smoked some sausage on egg yesterday.

Campi- I got the blower for it.  It took a little while to figure it out even though it is so basic a 5 year old could use it.  Now that I am comfortable, it is a set it and forget it process.  Smoking a turkey on Wednesday.  I think I am ready to make some pastrami.

Nice

I've never used one of those before. If you continue to like it I'll look into one. Aren't they like 400 bucks or so?
