It rained 1.5"+ in the Cats this past week, Sno. I think Jason was right on.

Good thing, Platty blew tons of snow, conditions were great this weekend.

Forecast creeping a bit colder?  Longer term still looks warm.

This week doesn't look too bad.  Snow for the Daks (4-6??) and ncp for the Cats (~1") tonight......followed by relatively dry weather and temps in the mid and upper 30s right into next week.  If that holds it's not the worst lost Jan we've ever had.  Fingers crossed.

It kind looks like a shit storm for the Dacks tonight..There could be a period of significant icing..Snow looks like it will fall East of the spin of the Greens..Maybe a few inches of snow in the Dacks before a change to rain/sleet/freezing rain..
need to get through next week before things start to return to some what normal..

should be nice mellow weekend in the mountains...skiing might have spring feel to it

looks like 3-5 for the Dacks tonight....similar to the storm early last week before the rain.....rest of the weeks looks warm but mostly dry....tons of rain possible early next week with warmth continuing...going to be ugly by the end of next week when the cold finally comes back.

Glade Runner told me he was taking off all next week because of a good storm pattern forming.  I guess he's going to get the shaft.

What the hell does it matter if Glade skis without poles or not?  He loves to ski, probably more than anyone else I know, and scores every powder day he can possibly get.

Tomorrow is the day to hit it after the 3-6 inches of snow today / tonight at Gore...tad less at Whiteface...next week is rain and warmth

Latest FOUS is painting a Sleet/ZR event
should be interesting to see if Gore holds on...I doubt WF will..

Is there somewhere that provides a newbie's guide to weather, i.e. what is FOUS, ZR and why is weather abbreviated Wx?  Thanks....

I have been a weather wienie for 35yrs , there are still some I don't know..
FOUS means ( forecast output statistics) it is the numerical output of the NAM model..
ZR is freezing rain..
