I think it has more to do with his weight training. He's just not as fluid anymore.

Tiger was juicing and got too tight in his upper body then they started testing for Peds and now he is is not his old self. Coincidence I think not.
Norman won over 90 tourneys world wide. Hard to call him a choker. Two nobodies got lucky holing out to beat him out of two majors. Faldo was hot that day and getting beat by Sir Nick in his prime was no shame. Norman did not have the benefit of the big Tiger era pots. He chose instead of endorsing things to own what he was selling. His wine is excellent. Over 50% of all pro sports played on grass are on his companies turf. The guy stopped playing because he was too busy making money. Little that he touches does not turn to gold and he has heavy political connections so if any green lawsuits pop up Greg will call his friends Bill and Hillary and they will go away. This is a game changer.

Oh - I think he will make out just fine. He will probably get a nice summer retreat in the Adirondacks at a bargain basement price and that ends his exposure - he won't have much if any financial exposure in this deal, it's all upside for him. I'll take it all back if we find out he has a cool $100M invested. As far as calling Billary, even they haven't had to tangle with the APA yet, there are some forces which are immutable and they won't risk pissing off the tree huggers. Now if there was Saudi or Russian oil money in the mix, than that would get Slick Willy's attention. However, all Hildebeest cares about is getting in the oval office, she's not interested in Normans little escapades and no way would she risk any negative political capital with the left wing. Hell - they have raised over $2B already - Norman is chump change. Game changer - I don't think so.

Unless Greg Norman has figured a way to move entire Tupper Lake project 40 miles closer to the Northway (including the Lake, the Village and BT) and add 900 vertical feet to BT it doesn't change anything. Hopefully he invests his money or gets them some private money so NYS won't be on the hook for the cash when the project fails. |

Wow, I wonder if St. Nick ever took this shit. Of course not. He's a white guy from Ohio.

IDK, as proposed it could be a really nice place, but yeah, it's a 400 yd hole-in-one long shot.
Hildabeast has 2B already ? |
Well not for the campaign directly: http://www.washingtonpost.com/politics/clintons-raised-nearly-2-billion-for-foundation-since-2001/2015/02/18/b8425d88-a7cd-11e4-a7c2-03d37af98440_story.html And the projection is for her to raise as much as $2.5B by election time. http://nypost.com/2015/04/14/hillarys-2-5-billion-obscene-fundraising-goal/ This is getting ridiculous. Most of the serious candidates are looking to raise more than $1B each. The middle class is losing what ever voice they may have had.

Huh??? He had a 6 shot lead heading into the final round and then shot 78!!! That's a total choke of epic proportions, some even have called it the worst choke in all of sports history. |
Faldo is a nobody who was awesome in his prime.? Espn puts shark at the top http://espn.go.com/page2/s/list/chokers.html

Yep. Not sure what one Australian Guy can do for Tupper Lake, NY. There were some big names associated with the Yellowstone Club, too and that didn't prevent that project from going bankrupt (although, to be fair, if ACR can do even a fraction of the level of upgrades that the Yellowstone club did, they'd be in pretty good shape). |

This is very good news for ADK/Tupper, However and sadly, I believe the above will prove to be most accurate. He tosses his design team a few bones, he gets a sweet property that he can use as a "loss" for tax reasons at a future date. |
The golf course is already a classic Donald Ross - false fronts, big greens, fun to play. Unless they're building another course (huge waste of money that should go to the mountain), they don't need Norman for course design.
Seriously, the layout of the golf course is very fun. They were working on the last few holes for a long time, but I assume that's done by now. |
I agree I don't think they need a separate private course. That Ross course is a great track. If they wildly succeeded in 10 years they might need be but not up front.

What's even more pathetic is that the entire country is saturated with too many golf courses. Like we need one in the middle of black fly country hours from population centers. Golf is a dying sport, as it exists today. Sure, the country clubs will still exist for the 1%, but that's probably it.

Oddly, we still don't know what Greg Norman's involvement in the ACR is. Is his organization providing marketing / branding of the ACR, is he providing financial backing, is he a purchaser of a Great Camp lot? All of the above?
The Adirondack Daily Enterprise article that broke the news stated: "It's a big deal for Tupper Lake," Lawson said, adding that he plans to issue a press release containing the details of the arrangement along with a few other announcements over the next few days. That was Thursday night last week. It's Monday night now, 4 days later, and no press release or further information. You would think that if a deal had actually been inked, a press release would have been issued immediately following Lawson's announcement Thursday night. Red Flag. |
You think he finally looked at a map? He may have started reading nyskiblog forums - hey, it could happen.

blah haha that is a good one.
If he does get involved it certainly brings up my optimism about the project. The guy has done things around the word came out on the right side of the deal more often than not. I don't see it happening, I just don't have the vision. If Norman does the north country will be in better shape. |
