On the DVR I have the whole game and a separate recording of the 9th inning. Don't even ask me how many times I've watched the 9th inning. Nobody talks baseball on this forum, so I haven't posted about it here for fear it would invite the type of Jeter-hating that's come out everywhere else. If that happens here, I'm not responding.
My daughter, who's an even a bigger Jeter fan than I am, was at the game. I grew up with the House That Ruth Built, so I didn't go. The new stadium is beautiful, but it's just not the same vibe.
As great as Jeter's last home game was, I was stunned by the amazing tribute the Red Sox gave him. True class on their part respecting the worthiest of opponents.
