Isn't there one (or a satellite location of a shop in Keene) next to Up a Creek?  I thought I saw a sign there once...maybe it was something else?

SJ2- Next weekend, June 2-4st:   Is that Leadville qualifier?  And not bikefest?  Were the two on the same weekend last year?  "got a blank space where my mind should be"

If I ride a fat bike tonight, and make wide ruts... is that better than skinny deep ruts in the mud?  Please let me know which BETA approves of

This weekend is Leadville!  We are doing it a bit different this year.  Just a race weekend. We are planning a more traditional fun bikefest weekend for labor day weekend

So for this weekend we have the Leadville race on saturday. Beta is planning a bbq/kegger at the aid station on hardy road. We'll have can jam going and with new race route the all in side (upper trails) will be open.   Roads closed once the race gets going so we end up having a blast.  

Then on Sunday we are doing a trail work day on PMD for national trails day.

Gonna be a fun time!

What is the road impact for Saturday?  Will 86 be close or just one lane for a section?

What time is the PMD trail work Sunday.  I think my son is going to do it with some of his ski buddies.  Should he bring his bike to ride it after the work is done?  Any shuttle potential?

Short delay on rt 86 to foxfarm to springfield to bartlet for start of race between 7-730. No road closure after that.  Expect some delays at intersections as racers return

We are meeting 9am at Up a Creek Restaurant on sunday. (Bottom of pmd)  A crew at the bottom and hopefully depending on turnout crews working from top and middle.

Have not checked out pmd yet as far as riding. Probably wet up high and low. But never hurts to bring bike and keep options open.

July 2 is next BETA trail work day. We are gonna finish Quaker Mtn community connector to Hardy Road!

Huge turnout and we built another trail in the Big Wink!

Sunday 9am BETA trail day at flume. Meet at Flume parking lot. Working on a connector trail that runs low and hooks into the very bottom of PMD.  Will pretty much make Up a Creek a better trail head to access flume from.  Especially if you are staying in town at a cool bike friendly motel like Cadance Lodge!  

45 people showed up last trail day. People from three different states. Maybe some of you hosers will show up this Sunday!  

 

A good amount of new single track complete on Flume to Wilmington FP2H trail day.  About 50% grubbed and finished. Bridge work schedule for ADK Mtn Club crew this week. Hard build.
