Camp

It's that time of year for me -- simply put, it's the best time of year. All the scouting, trail cam work, patching up camp, cleaning the damn mess up the tree rats made over the summer, checking the stands, etc etc is done. It's almost time to get our stank on!

Time for some beers, some cards, bunch -0- laughs and most importantly quality time with the best friends anyone could ask for. Oh, and, there will be some deer hunting involved. 10 days of no electricity, no phone, no TV, no internet or cell service ---- it's the best time of the year.

I do get cell service when I'm up in my stand. I don't normally do any internet stuff on my phone but I'll try to post a few pictures from time to time if given the chance.

Good hunting Camp! 11 weeks weeks of big game season in Mt. ended Sunday,my freezer is empty.

One thing I've always appreciated about this crew I hunt with is everyone leaves with the same amount of veni whether you kill a deer or not.In fact, round 2 of cutting is tonight. When I hunted solo (20+ years ago) there were plenty of years I had to eat my tags.

We had snow for most of the first week which is always a bonus, all gone now which stinks. Anyway, so far we're off to an excellent start. We've gotten 2 wall hangers, 2 jerky bucks, and some really nice doe so far. In fact one of the doe is actually the biggest body deer so far. Nice to see them coming back, the last 2 years we struggled to get big doe.

Even got to sneak up on this coyote while he was taking a nap


And our most prize possession is this damn coon that had been living in the roof of our camp!!!! Rotten bastard!!

Back at it once we all get this work thing out of the way for the week.
