the people saying we are raising the next generation BS, well I would be fine w/ way less humans in the foreseeable generations so don't expect me to be all thank you for adding to the mess!

If we're going to have future generations, though (and we are), I'd much prefer for them to be educated, rather than stupid.

You were educated at public schools, you drove on public roads, you were protected by public police forces, your money is kept in publicly insured banks, you enjoy your time in publicly protected lands, you ski at a fucking publicly funded ski area (Whiteface) in a publicly propped up town.

Gender Studies is a a politicized anachronism which  very few understand what value it has in any college as anything other than a soft ball elective or electives at best .

As a democratic society, we all have a voice in deciding what we need. I think we need primary and secondary education, so that we don't keep electing complete assholes like Trump. Others might think we need to bomb foreign countries with sky robots. If you don't like Cuomo's tuition plan, you can vote for someone who will abolish it, or you can go to one of the many states that don't have such a plan.

Either way, a non-rich individual in a 350 million person country (or a 20 million person state) is less effective than the collective action of an organized group, whether they are the NRA, the Democratic Party, or the country as a whole.

I believe it was one of our greatest citizens who said "It takes a village".
