If we're going to have future generations, though (and we are), I'd much prefer for them to be educated, rather than stupid.

All you people that want to give everyone free shit no one is stopping you from donating your paycheck to the cause.

Cool! Another person who doesn't understand the tragedy of the commons! https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tragedy_of_the_commons People acting selfishly to pursue their own agendas run into problems because nobody wants to pay for certain things that we all need. Private charity for things we all want for a better society (healthcare, education, fire departments, etc.) never comes close to being able to provide those things: http://democracyjournal.org/magazine/32/the-voluntarism-fantasy/?page=all |
MC you are exhausting me again
Tragedy of the commons?? Are you a silver spoon kid or something?? |

I think I understand. I just not from a family that grew up on the states tit. We earned what we have by working not just putting in our time. Again, lead by example give up all your luxuries to support what you say you believe. Then I may take you serious. All the shit you spew comes out of someone else's pocket. Until you lead by example you are just an older sno.

News for you guys:
Everyone grew up on the state's "tit". You were educated at public schools, you drove on public roads, you were protected by public police forces, your money is kept in publicly insured banks, you enjoy your time in publicly protected lands, you ski at a fucking publicly funded ski area (Whiteface) in a publicly propped up town. Don't give me this shit about how you're these rugged individualists who shun the conveniences of modern society and never take handouts from anybody. You guys benefit from the public society as much as just about anyone on this board. |
The FDIC and its reserves are not funded by public funds; member banks' insurance dues are ...
Gotcha, give it up Mary Poppins, if you want to donate you money for the education of kids have at it. |

That said, now that commie pinko Hillary motor boating liberal fucktard can go screw himself!!

Lol. Early contender for best insult of 2017.

Key words bolded, and subjective. Therefore, TJF is right.

Gender Studies is a a politicized anachronism which very few understand what value it has in any college as anything other than a soft ball elective or electives at best .

Hey, I tried to study the opposite gender whenever possible, delving deep into it's recesses over and over again...

As a democratic society, we all have a voice in deciding what we need. I think we need primary and secondary education, so that we don't keep electing complete assholes like Trump. Others might think we need to bomb foreign countries with sky robots. If you don't like Cuomo's tuition plan, you can vote for someone who will abolish it, or you can go to one of the many states that don't have such a plan. Either way, a non-rich individual in a 350 million person country (or a 20 million person state) is less effective than the collective action of an organized group, whether they are the NRA, the Democratic Party, or the country as a whole. I believe it was one of our greatest citizens who said "It takes a village". |
don't you have work to do to support the rest of us takers??
