This thing is still on the GFS for next week although NWS seems to have dropped the idea...



Looks warm again the week of Thanksgiving...

Looks like the warm wet weather is moving in earlier with each forecast revision. It is very early for the east.

It appears that colder temps return around Thanksgiving... no line on how long it will last.

Looks good to me. Lots of cold and snow to come. It's only November 20th.

This has looked hot for several days now but the near long term, next 5 days, looks just a little warm.

Looking at the forecasts, after tomorrow, the temps still look good enough for nighttime snowmaking at Gore and WF. Mountain Creek might be screwed, but the north looks good.

With some snow  Tomorrow, Sat and Monday.
Tomorrow will get above freezing, but then it stays below the bubble for the next 10 days.
The snow pack is starting to build - bit by bit, inch by inch. Patience. The way it is coming in we may have a safe early season in the BC.

Did you post this just to piss me off?!  

North does not matter because what good is snow if it is 200+ miles away?  Can't get to it, so no good.  Mountain Creek actually matters because I can get there 3-4x a week vs Hunter only once a week.  We can open under conditions that any place in the ADK's could not.  Try having a constant freeze thaw and not consistently being able to blow snow around the clock.  You were frustrated that Gore got no additional trails open with a snowstorm and 2 days of good snowmaking.  At MC, we could get an entire peak open with those circumstances.

It's been snowing in North Creek for several hours. No wintry mix -- just SNOW with a bit more moisture content than last week's feathery foot. I can hear the guns blasting at Gore.

I'd say with the 7-10 day temp forecast anything that accumulates is good.

While the extreme warmth never really panned out, this thing is finally starting to look better.
