Seasonable weather for the next week, more active after Christmas....

looks like a mix turning to rain next monday, hopefully that improves...looks like 1-3 inches on Thursday.

Hey, as we move toward the time of year when January thaws can take a nasty bite....I'll take MEH over downright bad and ugly.  MEH we can survive until better days, no?

I mentioned a few months ago about it being a Cali /Western year...That doesn't mean we won't have a decent season..

single chair aint singing merry Christmas, happy new year.  amazing.  looks like 6th rain out Christmas/new year in a row.  11 out of 13.  wtmf!!  

Petit homme, Whiteface will be in so much better shape than most mountains.  Weather.com LP forecast shoes maybe 2 days with mixed precip and temps in the 30's at the base.  Not a show stopper if it holds that way.  Upper elevation should stay all snow.

^^^^ That's some Freaky Friday shit right there!  We have just entered.........the Twilight Zone (dun da dun).  

In keeping on topic, Squaw Valley and a return to the Cascades (next time a backcountry day around Snowqualmie Pass with an inbounds day at Alpental) are on my short list.  Both areas could see 2 to 3 feet of snow through this weekend, although my trip or trips will have to wait!

over the next 10 days we will have a couple of lows that go to our left. As of now it doesn't  look good....more as things develop
