It gives me a hard-on and at my age that don't come easy...

This year's holiday season will hopefully be a slam dunk.  The ski areas need it after the disaster that was last year.

The pattern does look sweet, but I do think we will have to deal with a couple of R events during the period...That said  the holiday week looks good..so far

Yep. I was just thinking that. I hope they're hammered with peeps. A huge dump of cash. Cha-ching.

Come to think about it, West Mtn probably needs it more than most. Hope they make $$$$ this season.

Doesn't look like it in the foreseeable future, cold and snowy seems to be the forecast. I am thinking we may have some BC by Jan 1 if not sooner at higher elevations.

Long range for LP shows no r*in.  Might be some further south, but would be minimal.

First of all I am not  here to play debbie downer..Just relaying what the maps are saying..The following map is for this coming weekend,and it shows a period of rain. The rain is brief and will be followed by colder weather.

lets hope this weekend storm we can pick up a few inches before we go to rain...I think this weekend could offer the best skiing for the next 2+ weeks if we can avoid the rain as the pattern completely breaks down and xmas week into new years week looks horrible.  We could be talking historic warmth by the end of the month (many similarities to last December now showing up for the 2nd half of the month) :( :( :(

If Christmas is a bust that will likely kill off some ski areas following this season.  I'm worried Whiteface won't open Lookout and Gore won't open the Ski Bowl anymore unless it's a great year because they didn't bother to last year, yet no one really complained about it.

Lots of time for things to change...no need to panic yet

We can only hope that this is the case.
