Ok 2 weeks in after surgery , off rhe walker now using cane except outside because of ice n snow , 3 pt sessions so far pretty good mobility , strength can stand on both legs with full weight bearing , squats , side outs , old football like tire drill, leg lifts , knee raises , etc , no machines yet . Balance tested ok so far on soft raised base with close eyes and she trys to tip me and i can balance fine . Soon they will put me on a mini tramp blindfolded and see if i can balance when they push me randomly .
Went to Saratoga to get surg staples out , incision looked fine so just butterflys till they fall off now . Back there in 4 weeks to get first post surgery xrays . Hip feels fine , everybody says my gait is much improved
Only real issue isnt hip related now but that damned fissure in my tush( from IV opiodial drips in the hospital six damn months ago). This aches like a bastard 6-7 hrs a day so This time around i stuck strictly to TYLENOL all thru the operation .
etc .
So progress is pretty fair i think ,sure glad to NOT be. Bobbing with every damn step , pt 3 times a week now , daily exercise at home too but THIS time thru i am going to listen to the ole body rather than strictly go balls to the wall
