The Mountain skied great today if you kept yourself in the moment and didn’t think about the fact that it’s still Feb. Spring corn all around. Rumor was really, really good. Lower Mountain is going fast, so keep your fingers crossed for this storm!

This is looking like a green monster...fingers crossed that cold air mixes in!  If not, based on what Yukon said, Gore is dead.

Burn some skis, dance a snow dance, sacrifice a goat (or two)... whatever it takes!

Gore skied great this afternoon.   Except for upper Twister.   Beware of the ice ponds. Probably just stay away.

I was as stoked today as I was depressed last Sunday morning waking up to ice and freezing rain and shuttered and frozen lifts.

The only consistency to this season is how inconsistent I’ve learned Adirondack Mountain weather can be.   And yet the average for precip (including rain) and temp is probably just about right on for the year all things considered.

Lap the powder at the edge of the lower trails tomorrow morning.  Hit up dark side glades when they open.  And then enjoy the groomers later on when you’re tired.    Gore will shine tomorrow.  Let’s thank the snow gods for that.

Well.....one large bon fire, 5 pair of skis, three goats, a couple of wild boar and a few snow dances later, its frosty outside.  A solid 10" at our camp.  The winter wonderland lives again.  Thanks to Yukon's advise winter is back in town.

8" - 10" in Johnsburg but it does appear the mountain didn't pick up as much.

I didn't ski today but my kids did.  They reported the mountain pulled a good crowd (likely post storm chatter but the skiing wasn't as good as they hoped.  My son said firm at the top but soft at bottom.  It warmed up today also and the snow turned into packing mush.

I think they got 5-6", but it seems like wind hit the mountain pretty hard. Rumor, Lies & Topridge stayed closed. This stormed helped the overall mountain conditions compared to earlier in the week. Now we just need a couple of more snow storms.

MikePom - maybe burn a old monoski this time?

Never!....the only way the Mono goes up in flames is with me on it!!

Tribal skiing may not be necessary....take a look at what might be on the horizon.....

I'd imagine they're not easy to replace.

Fingers crossed on that forecast!

Gore skied quite well today. Light crowds but still a little scratchy later in the afternoon. Echo was my pick of the day. Twister, not so good, but needed it to access Burnt Ridge. Uncas/lower Uncas also held up well through the day.

I'm 7 miles north of Gore at 1300'. Starting snowing significantly in the last half hour. Only 2" all day before that.

Reports from Gore today had people venturing into those first trees that people go after like KHS.  Cam looks ok right now, and if Tuesday delivers, could be game on.

Welcome back Jimi.
