Found some old annual, Greek Peak ski area Brochures/pamphlets. These are chocked full of photos and ski area info. Current versions are thin and highlight HLL and the Adventure Center with like 1 measley page with ski area info.

Common RJ. You seem like a classy guy so lets keep it that way, ok? Keep the other things away from greek peak and the internet. That's a low blow even coming from you.
If you know what I'm referring to, you can appreciate why it has no place on the internet. It certainly wouldn't be my style to go down that road.

That is a pretty cool collection, Big D. Great idea to save them.

The new brochure seems to portray the four season resort they have become, but tends to stray away from their core purpose of skiing. You hit that nail right on the head.

I just skied a bit this morning, and the snow is really coming down. They are still making snow on Alcmene. Odyssey was groomed and good to go. They're getting there.

I skiied for a couple hours this morning. Conditions were good and they have definitely made quite a bit of snow in the last week. First grooming on Odyssey made for firm, edgeable snow although a little rough and bumpy. It should improve with a few more groomings. Trojan was the only trail open off chair 4 and skiied nicely although the runout was like skiing into a wind tunnel. The run of the day was skiier' s right on Iliad on a nice layer of gun pow coming over from Alcemene.

question:
For somebody driving up to check Greek out, would I be better off waiting for a normal weekend? Or do the locals take off to bigger places on the long holiday weekends? I was thinking about Sundayor maybe Monday; will it be slammed or ok?

I think the crowds will be fine this weekend. My guess is the weather will keep the masses away. It just started sleeting here and is supposed to turn to freezing rain then all rain later tonight. The next 2 days are temps in the 50's

We are supposed to get a little snow saturday night so we'll see how that goes. That will determine whether or not our crew skis on Sunday.

I didn't even know it was a holiday weekend until you mentioned it. lol

I wish we had more terrain open for you in the event you decide to come for a visit. But hey, it's skiing.

Yeah, I hear ya. I'm not the guy who needs everything to be perfect though. I have a list in my head and Greeks on it

Brownski, While it will be a holiday weekend, don't expect 30 minute lift lines. GP is not that kind of place, which is why we ski Killington early and late season, but GP this time of the year. In addition, they have a chair that parallels their main chair, which they run when demand is high. They do plan to have all lifts running this weekend.

On a different note, if you are looking to have the place to yourself, midweek is definitely the time to go, but they also don't necessarily run all of the lifts mid-week. Lift tix are $39 midweek (non holiday) versus $69 on the weekend (plus 8% resort fee).

Greek sounds like my kind of place; not 100% for this weekend but definitely want to get there this year

About what I was expecting today...Hard frozen snow/ice. Iliad and Odyssey were the only "ice free" trails as they had the most snowmaking. Every other trail had occasional sheets of ice that you had to pick your way around. The worst area was at the bottom of Christys where the trail merge is. Wall to wall ice sheet.
On a positive note, they are still reporting a 10 to 42 inch base with machine groomed packed powder!
