Only 3-5" so far, but the snow is not bad.  Sugar snow.  Very granular, doesn't stick to anything.

Cats loss is looking like maybe Gore's gain? Looks like close to the "Danger Zone" but in the area of heaviest precip. Way this is trending though maybe even Gore will get some mixing...

Really, you’ve got competition.  My brother earned the nickname Uncle ‘Mudge today.  He’s a bigger curmudgeon than you are!

The mix line is creeping north, which would seem indicative of things moving north, not south.  It started snowing at WF before 2:00 today, earlier than forecast.  It’s already snowed an inch or two, and all the forecasts I generally use have another 10 to as much as 20 coming tonight thru tomorrow.

I'm sure any lesser snow amount than the original 2ft estimates will be blamed on ORDA's mismanagement.

It is barely flurries currently with not even an inch at my house at 1300’
Seems to be a hole in the radar where it’s not snowing up north here. alomost looks  like the high peaks are deflecting the storm
Gib Brown retired weather man said he thought Wf would get only 7-10” and given the temp it’s super light and will blow off given how much was predicted it’s a dud in my book
Gore is looking like a much better bet

The inch or two that fell this afternoon was already softening the edges.  I guess we’ll compare notes in the am.  Hoping your are wrong.....

the cats should be able to hold on..but wouldn't be surprised if there is a brief change over..

That’s ok!

There was a huge changeover today.  At 7am in Saratoga Springs, it was snowing hard with some sleet mixed in.  By 8am, it was 100% sleet from Schuylerville to Cambridge, when it changed again to freezing rain.  In Arlington VT it then switched back to sleet, and it was sleet all the way to Magic.  It sleeted there well into the afternoon, before a switch back to snow finally occurred.  

There was obviously some seriously warm air aloft in extreme Eastern NY/Southern VT today.  

No sleet in Lake George today or at Gore.  Looked like sleep made it to Glens Falls.  Reminded me of the Valentine's day storm back in 2007
