Haha my guy Al told me all four tires were showing wear bars. I didn't think they were that far down.

Re: Jan 19 Possibilities

Kleetus
Seeing the forecast pulled the trigger on a cheap room in Warrensburg for Sat night. Found out our neighbors are out of town Saturday and as such no plowing of the 1/4 mile driveway of my place in Old Forge. Also we are on a low trafficked road off Route 28, which the Town has been famous not to plow until late in the day after a big storm.

Seeing 15" expected for Old Forge, with most of it Saturday night, pretty good chance I would be stranded unless I did otherwise. They'll be back Sunday...supposedly..and told us they will plow then so have a place for Friday pre-storm and as it winds down Sunday night. For the price of the room, it is worth not having to worry if I will or will not get stranded and not get to ski at all, even at McCauley.

Looks like a big dumper, and the latest snowfall forecast from ALY making it look better for the ADK's. It SHOULD be full game on for all the woods Sunday at Gore provided it delivers as anticipated and trails/lifts open on schedule. Which I'm hoping will happen since it is a holiday weekend but....

My thoughts from earlier this week remain the same, I think this trends further south where the CATS get the jackpot and we will ride the northern fringe.  I like 8-12 for WF and 10 to 14 for Gore.  Cats around 15 inches.

That’s something we could figure out for ourselves!  The real question is.....will the winds be bad enough to keep lifts from spinning?  As always, crap shoot I s’pose.

That certainly does not seem like an issue at those speeds and the places that I ski.

Peeps at Magic and Platty are gonna have a ball, I suspect there will be a bit of frustration at bigger hills.

Hmmm.....TJ may know this one.  If WF were to shut down the lifts because the temps and windchill are too severe will they still let you utilize your uphill pass?

Sorry, I was inquiring if they would restrict normal/permissible uphill traffic on a day they didn’t plan to operate due to weather conditions.  That’s all.

I think the kids might be taking Monday off regardless, so I was thinking of getting out for dawn patrol to make a few turns in the am, then meet up with them.  Thanks.
