Swept at home by the team they could least afford to lose to.

Time to stick a fork in them?  Their charge really was an illusion....beating up on crappy teams.  With the pressure on they crumbled.  That home stand against the Cubs was THE defining moment in this season’s comeback story, and the Mets had nothing.

As Tommy would say....get ‘em a body bag!

Prediction?  Mets finish the season under .500.

Streaky Teams are the result of bad management. Callaway has been iffy for his entire Mets tenure. If he is under .500 with this team (HR leader, Batting Average leader, quality starting pitching, etc.), he doesn't deserve to keep his job.

Also, my posts in this thread are a pretty good indicator of when the Mets have reached their peak and are about to start a downturn.

Not sure who is worse in terms of crushing the souls of fans....the Jets or the Mets!

Dodgers will likely bury the Amazins with the current series.  Dodgers road record is almost as good as the Mets home record.  If the Dodgers don’t do it, Atlanta will surely put the Mets out of their misery to close out the season.
