Trying to work on making NYSB responsive (better compatibility on mobile/small screens) this summer.
It would be a "fairly simple" job to do if we were starting from scratch. The most complicated part is importing the existing FORUM content (text and images) and registration data. (Registration data - meaning does everyone have to sign up again or would your existing forum logins work on the new forum software.)
Choices really are:
Leave the site as is, with no plan to work well on phones.
Move the forum to new software and import content and registration data ($$$).
Move to new software and start from scratch.
The second option is beyond my reach as it would be several thousand dollars.
If you are so inclined give your input:
How important is mobile compatibility to you?
How would you feel about losing three years of content and is it worth it to be mobile?
Would you reregister?
Thanks.
