Plattekill Conditions (2013-2014)

Anyone brave the insane temps and make it today?  Hoping for Sunday for my first 2013/14 Platty Day.

I'll be there bright and early tomorrow. I'll be sure to take some pics.

We skied almost the whole day and it was incredible.  Everyone was cold but somehow I was in the zone of warmth.

Just got to North River. Fire, dinner, then I'll post a few pics if I have any juice left.

Conditions were superb, couldn't have asked for a better day. Blue skies, nice powder and fast groomers. I got there right at opening and enjoyed finding a different untracked line all morning. Will put up some pictures after the Eagles game tonight!

Wow, that looks genuinely awesome.

Sadly this skier became sick-as-a-dog and missed out.

Traveling now but posted some pics on the home page this am.

Good skiing yesterday. The wind has done some interesting things to the north side so there was more snow in other areas. Block and the Face were great. Today should be excellent with the additional sun and warmth. We just need a couple little storms to get everything back in play, too.

What a place.

The mountain is reporting a foot.  These skiers told me that is conservative.

Sadly I wont make it there until the weekend, but I'll be enjoying a 100% open Platty on Saturday and Sunday.

Blue jacket, black ski pants, Nordica gear.....can't wait to finally ski Platty tomorrow, been wanting to get there for a while.
