Brownski, do you come across any nuclear missile silos?  It hit me in the face driving through Montana (or N.D.) when I saw chain link/razor wire fence protecting a small hump with a steel door at ground level.  No buildings, no cars.  Freaky.

I think all the missiles are up on the northern plains because the shortest trajectory to the most likely targets is north ove4 the pole. I remember seeing some facilities like you described back in the nineties when I drov3 through that area.

I think I do remember that. Definitely remember them taking ove4 the whole area in front of the log flume to have mock gunfights a couple times a day.

Hopefully they learn something. I’m not the road warrior I used to be though. I’m pretty wiped right now.

A drive thru rural Louisiana  and Mississippi , the boys will realize Rockland County ain't so bad..

Just saw our first Tesla of the entire trip

Most teslas are sold on the coasts.  Some states have laws preventing direct sales (without a dealer). I think there is very little distribution in the south.

Lots of rwd pickups but mostly full size-very few compacts. Lots of SUVs and cheap cars like everywhere. After seeing the Tesla I realized there aren’t any Subarus and almost no German cars. A few Lexus and Acura’s here and there but I don’t remember seeing any beemers or Mercedes.

At the Six Flags in San Antonio. It hit 97 today. Texas is like hanging out in a pizza oven but we’re getting used to it.

Emergency heat in NY is just business as usual in Texas?

After another morning of roller coasters we decided to check out downtown San Antonio; actually didn’t get any further then the Alamo and the River Walk.

The River Walk was pretty cool. I was a little blown away by the number of people around



Found a place to get lunch down there. It was pretty good for a touristy place but didn’t knock our socks off.


And then back to the hotel for pool time.

$2.27 cash price for unleaded.

I do have a bottle of tums along. Why do you ask? We did take a break from the rich stuff after the game yesterday but my younger son still was hungry around seven so we found a place for some chicken fingers. We’ve been seeing these all over Texas so we gave it a shot.

And the hotel had a really nice pool

My daughter who lived in NOLA said , Canes has the worlds  the best chicken fingers!!! also the biscuits are to die for
